Band Profile
Based in Vancouver, Canada, A Sheep at the Wheel fuses pulsing riff-laden
verses, huge hooky choruses, and powerful vocals in an original
post alternative package. Since the June 2005 release of their debut
EP, Blend, they Sheep have broken onto the Vancouver music scene
with a vengeance. They won the UBC 2005 Battle of the Bands, packed
the Media Club with their CD release party, and have since moved
on to opening up for big acts like Finger Eleven, Stabilo, and Wide
Mouth Mason. Their first tow singles, "Another Game" and
"Land of the Blind", have been getting radio play on CFOX,
CITR, CBC, GALAXY and Internet Radio. The Sheep made their trelevision
debut performing live on Urban Rush, which has featured heavyweights
like 5440 and Sloan. "Another Game" will also be part
of the independent feature film, Project Grey, coming this winter.
Most recently, A Sheep at the Wheel was voted runner up for Best
New local Band in the Georgia Straight's 2005 Best of Vancouver
Readers Choice Awards.
