Band Profile
It was in the creative learning environment of Windsor House alternative
school in North Vancouver that the members of the Penguins met.
In November of 1003, Daniel and Jake decided to learn to play guitar
and began jamming together. They were soon joined by rock solid
self-taught drummer Nigel and Dan's brother Colin who would provide
some lead guitar and vocals. Kane, also a drummer, joined the band
on bass during the recording of their first demo. Kane had not played
bass previously but held his own during the session and made the
current Penguins line-up complete. Since their inception, The Penguins
has played numerous shows at both private and public events. In
addition to several performances at their place of origin Windsor
House school and various private parties, the Penguins already have
an impressive list of public appearances in their dossier of their
thus far short performing careers.
